Mo Dhachaidh Care Home

Mo Dhachaidh Care Home is located in the beautiful rural North West Highlands of Scotland in the fishing village of Ullapool. The village itself has a host of independent shops and restaurants offering local produce and places to eat. The home is nestled in the heart of the village and also provides premises for the local GP surgery and council office.

Mo Dhachaidh offers high-quality 24-hour nursing care for up to 21 frail older people. We are also able to offer a short break and respite stays. Our dedicated and skilled team of qualified nurses and trained carers will be able to offer a care package to suit each individual resident to enable them to continue to have choice and freedom in a safe and comfortable environment. Mo Dhachaidh staff and residents ensure families and friends get a warm welcome and feel involved in the home and the care delivered to their friends or family member.

In the summer months, Ullapool is vibrant and residents at Mo Dhachaidh enjoy walks to the seafront, the local pipe-band playing, music events at the Macphail Centre and trips to nearby Ardmair.

In the winter months, local school children visit the home where residents enjoy a variety of musical instruments and singing. Other visitors we have to the home include live musicians, Stella ( who is a trained therapy dog) and of course our much-loved dog Treacle, who visits several times a week.
