Freeland House

Freeland House was built in 1807 by Sir William Ellis Taunton and still retains some of its original Victorian features. Situated on the outskirts of Oxford, Freeland House has been refurbished into a care home supporting residents with palliative, nursing, residential, personal and respite care.

Amongst our state of the art facilities include spacious lounges, 2 dining rooms and a social room where many activities take place. All rooms boast beautiful views over our gardens and the Oxfordshire countryside. The Glass Link Way has access out to the patio area and garden, and when weather permits, residents enjoy sitting along the terrace.

We are registered to provide care for up to 65 residents in 2 styles of en-suite bedrooms in the original house and the newer purpose-built wing. Subject to availability, we do also have some double rooms suitable for married couples. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and include high-quality furnishings.

Additional services include newspaper and magazine deliveries upon request and visits from chiropodist physiotherapists, opticians and dentists. We also have a weekly fellowship group led by the local church and communion is held monthly. Pets are welcome by arrangement.
