Drummonds

Drummonds Care Home in Colchester, Essex, supports up to 41 residents over the age of 18 with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. We have a focus on dignity, independence and person-centred care at Drummonds.

The home is spread across one floor with full accessibility to outdoor areas including our courtyard and green areas. Not only this, we have a mobility friendly pool which allows for hydrotherapy sessions to take place. We have wide hallways throughout for wheelchairs, a large activities room, a large cinema and a sensory room.

We are happy to have a fish pond and a chicken coup where our residents can help care for the animals. We also enjoy many daily activities such as cooking, arts & crafts and sports in our sports hall. On a regular basis, we speak with our residents to ask them what they would like to see on the activities schedule.
