Caldy Manor Care Home

Caldy Manor Care Home is rather aptly named after the village it calls home, Caldy in Merseyside. We support a maximum of 38 residents over the age of 55 with residential and specialist dementia care. All our residents have ensuite bathrooms and we have 3 double rooms for couples.

Here at Caldy Manor, dementia care is provided within our ‘Memory Lane Community’. Our dementia suite is designed to offer the best environment for dementia care to be delivered. The interior of the dementia suite is designed to be ‘dementia friendly’ with wide corridors, appropriate levels of lighting. Many people with dementia struggle with short-term memory but find comfort in reminiscing about their childhood; this is supported and encouraged with appropriate reminiscence props.

Care Assistants are on-hand to support residents with 24-hour care. Resident’s care needs are planned for and tracked through personalised care plans. Care plans take into account the holistic needs of residents; everybody is different, as such, so is their care plan. Care staff are committed to protecting the dignity of our residents and where possible, care is delivered discreetly within resident’s rooms.

Our kitchen team is led by our Head Chef and food forms the cornerstone of daily life at Caldy Manor Care Home. Every day there is a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu offering a wide range of choice to suit the dietary requirements of all residents. All menus aim to provide choice but if nothing on the main menu tickles your fancy, then there is always a ‘light bites’ menu to choose from.

The home benefits from a full and varied activities programme and visits from various community groups. Residents come together to partake in activities or to simply socialise over a cup of tea! We have a full-time Activities Coordinator at Caldy Manor who goes above and beyond to ensure there is a varied programme of activities for the residents to partake in.
