Allanbank Care Home in Dumfries provides support to adults with a range of healthcare needs including complex requirements. Round the clock care is provided by our team of dedicated Care Assistants, who liaise closely with healthcare professionals and cover all aspects of respite, residential, dementia, nursing, palliative and mental health care as required.

Allanbank Care Home is located in Dumfries within easy reach of local transport services, amenities and shops and has spectacular views of over the River Nith and Criffel hill. The home has several comfortable areas for residents to relax including a pre-bookable designated visiting space for relatives. Facilities include a salon, pub, residents’ kitchenette, and enclosed, fully accessible gardens so all residents can enjoy the changing seasons.

Our residents have their own spacious ensuite rooms with individual phone and television points. We encourage personalising bedrooms so that they are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in. Requests for small items of furniture can be accommodated subject to passing health and safety regulations.

Our experienced carers work individually with each resident to develop a care plan and ensure that personal interests and activities are encouraged. We offer a daily activities programme which is tailored to the interests of our residents as well as trying to offer them something new. If you’ve been a keen singer or gardener all your life we see no reason for this to change and our care staff will be on hand to support you. Regular events include performances from local musicians, day trips and local outings within the community.

Allanbank Care Home specialises in fresh, seasonal, tasty food offering plenty of choices. Our Home Chefs prepare all meals on the premises and regularly update the menus to reflect residents' tastes and preferences.

The cost per week will vary depending upon your loved ones individual care requirements. Please give our Home Manager a call to discuss our availability and whether we are currently accepting residents with Local Authority funding.
