Post a message of thanksThe three care givers who look after my father, provide outstanding care. My sister and I trust them completely in caring for our dad. Home Instead accommodate all the changes we make to our schedule to meet dad's needs. The care givers have built up trusting relationships with him and without them, we believe dad would be in a care home by now but due to their dedicated work he is continuing to live in his own home. He has Alzhiemers but responds well to the clear instructions written by ourselves and the care givers to enable consistency and continuity of care. He can follow the instructions when he is alone at home. He knows the exact time the care givers attend and what they do. We feel this plays a very big part in helping him to feel safe and predicting his day.
Jackie goes over and above when she takes him to his out patients appts. The little extras she does eg taking him for a cuppa in Costa, make the visit a little outing for him! Jackie is so genuine, kind, a lovely lady.
Debbie quickly built up a trusting relationship with dad. A lovely lady and excellent in her job role. We were worried dad wouldn't be happy with Debbie being there to support with his bath but everything went so well and dad clearly felt comfortable with her. Debbie also willingly stayed an extra hour at a time of crisis!
Many thanks also to yourself and all staff at Home Instead. An outstanding service.

We've partnered with the care workers' charity to help promote the challenges carers are facing during the pandemic and to give those who are able a way to give directly to carers by donating to their charity.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic thousands of carers across the UK choose selflessly to continue to go to work everyday and care for our loved ones because if they don't who else will. We think they deserve a huge thank you from all of us.
