Baugh House Care Centre

One of Gold Care’s most popular homes is Baugh House, based in Sidcup Kent. Baugh House is conveniently located off Sidcup high street while still offering a rural location. This is helped by the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Foots Cray meadows which offer a tranquil setting. Baugh house offers the best of both world of a rural setting while still being close to the usual high street stores including a local pub, supermarket and a selection of independent shops offering a mix of eclectic goods.

The wonderful facilities at Baugh House make a world of difference to our residents. Whether it’s chatting in the cafe, pottering around the garden or enjoying the peace and quiet of the lounge, there really is a favourite place for everyone.

Our Activities Co-ordinators play a fundamental part in delivering our mission of enhancing the lives of our residents by creating a fun and hugely varied program for everyone to participate. A great source of fun and laughter, our range of activities really help each resident live their life to the full.

My father was a resident from 4th December to 28th December when I got him out and into a decent place.

In the short time he was at Baugh House, Sidcup he lost weight, became urine incontinent, had the start of a pressure sore and his mobility had severely deteriorated too ( when he first got there he used 2 walking sticks and when he left he could only use a zimmer frame)

His dirty laundry was urine soaked.

The food is terrible, my father used to tell me that the carer who brought his food to him would sometimes be eating it from his plate as they brought it to him. They give very little food for supper time and they must ask for food as they are not offered it.

The home was closed due to an alleged norovirus outbreak from 18th December to 27th December and in that time my father deteriorated, it is my opinion that the home was closed due to lack of staff over the Christmas period resulting in the obvious neglect of my poor elderly father.

He is now happy in his new care home.
