Southdowns Nursing Home

Southdowns Nursing Home is located in St Leonards on Sea and supports up to 48 residents with long-term or short-term care. We can provide tailored care support to those living with dementia or mental health conditions in a safe, welcoming environment.

We have a great range of shared areas for residents to enjoy including a spacious lounge and dining area on the ground floor, a lovely front room and a further 2 lounges on the first floor. Each resident has their own bedroom which they are encouraged to make their own with decorations and personal belongings.

Many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our reminisce sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.

Before becoming a resident at Southdowns Nursing Home, our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
