How it works

New to

We're here to help consumers find the best possible care, and to assist providers of quality care in being recognised. All care providers on are Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered and we also perform our own detailed background checks. We list comprehensive information, CQC reports and independent reviews, while also providing comparison tools to help make the process of selecting a provider less daunting.

1. Finding trusted care

Select or mouse-over each box for a full description.

Finding a trusted care provider

To begin, choose to search for Care homes or In Home (Domiciliary) Care, and enter your postcode or town/city, at the top of the page.

You will be presented with a selection of care providers in your area, each listed with address details, care services offered, CQC report details and an overall review rating.

You can feel reassured in the knowledge that all providers on TrustedCare have been inspected and accredited by the CQC, meaning they meet a set of requirements set out by law to protect the service user and ensure the highest quality of care is provided.

Narrowing your selection

You can view the full profile, gallery and reviews for any provider to help gain a better impression, but when beginning to create a shortlist it can be useful to compare details directly.

TrustedCare allows you to do this via our comparison tool; simply tick the 'potential' box for up to five providers, and then click 'compare' to view the main details of all potential providers side by side.

Are you a trusted care provider?

If so, you could join - The social care website for care providers.

Trustedcare is the ideal way to publicise your care services, provided you meet the required standards; we use CQC reports and our own detailed background checks to vet all our providers.

Making a good impression

As a member of TrustedCare, visitors can view your profile page and gallery, reviews, CQC reports and download your prospectus. They can also contact you by phone, email or through the website.

As a member you have access to your provider account page, allowing you to update profile details and gallery images, as well as viewing statistics for consumer visits to your profile and a host of further commercial tools.

Contact and visit

Once a shortlist has been produced, a visit or meeting with each potential provider is important. Full contact details are listed for every provider, or a free message can be sent to one or more providers through, to make arrangements.

Our help and advice section offers some useful tips on what to look for and what questions to ask when choosing a care provider.

2. Leaving a review

Leaving a review

Once you've chosen a provider and they are caring for your loved one, please keep us in mind.

When sufficient time has passed for you to evaluate the quality of care your loved one is receiving, we ask that you return to in order to review the provider. We have ensured that the process is clear and simple.

Your review is greatly valuable, whether highlighting an apparent issue with a certain provider, or for rewarding an excellent level of care, thereby inspiring continued high standards and setting an example to other providers.

Note that all reviews must go through our validation process before they can be published on the website.

You have a new client

Impress with your TrustedCare presence and maintain a reliable high standard of service, and you will attract new clients.

It is important that as a provider you encourage your clients both new and old to visit and share their experiences regarding your services, as recommendations are a powerful tool to grow your business.

Review validation

First and foremost, to be published, all reviews must be factual, helpful and legal - see Leave a review for more details. This also applies to review responses by either party.

To ensure reviews on can be relied upon, for all reviews with negative elements, and a percentage of positive reviews, we check that the reviewer has a care plan and contract of care in place with the provider in question. If either of these items are unavailable we seek to establish a solid connection between the two parties.

Then, for all verified reviews, positive or negative, we will give the care provider a chance to respond to the review.

Finally, for negative reviews, the reviewer has the chance to leave a reply to the provider's response, in case this should prove necessary.

We do not accept reviews from past or present employees of service providers.

Review published

Every review which passes successfully through the validation process will then be published on the website.

3. Provider Watch

Keep track with Provider Watch

Even once you have selected a care provider, can help you keep tabs on provider standards with our Provider Watch feature.

Select to 'watch' one or more providers and you will be notified whenever their profile is updated, a new CQC report is available, or when a new review has been published.

Maintain standards

Keep up your high standards of service and consumers using Provider Watch will have nothing but good things to say about you; word of mouth is often the best form of advertising!
