Here at Westmead in Droitwich Spa, we provide residential and residential dementia care, along with short or long-term respite stays to give caregivers a well-earned rest. Our home has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and is seen as one big family.

The garden at Westmead is very popular amongst our residents as they are able to plant flowers, sit in our wonderful summer house, and grow their own fruit and vegetables in our very own greenhouse. Our dining room overlooks our garden and the residents love to watch the wildlife as they enjoy home-cooked meals prepared by our chef. We are also within walking distance to Droitwich town centre, situated with lots of parks and cafes.

Many of our staff at Westmead have worked at the home for over 15 years creating great relationships with our residents including Brenda, who was highlighted for her above and beyond care to ensure our residents are constantly smiling. Brenda was spotted for being a ‘ray of sunshine when she was shortlisted for a Worcestershire Health and Social Care Award. We have an exceptional team at Westmead, which is reflected in our CQC rating as ‘Good’.

At Westmead, we have wonderful activities for our residents to enjoy, coordinated by our staff member Kate. She has close connections with the local nursery and has arranged some wonderful projects with them such as pamper sessions, local church, and spring initiative projects.

Our home has a hairdressing salon and lots of lounges which are cosy and homely spaces for our residents to relax in and mingle with other residents over a cup of tea and some biscuits. We know communication is key and we invite relatives to visit our residents as often as they can, but we also have an IPad on hand to keep in touch via video calls.

Westmead’s weekly fee starts at £821, per week but will depend upon the complexity of the individual's care requirements. We may be able to accept residents who are funded by their local authority but this will need to be discussed with our Home Manager. As well as long-term care, we can also support people who are looking for short-term care and who require end-of-life care. To find out whether we have current availability, please give us a call via the number on our profile.
