The Spires Care Home

Hi, my name is Amy and I am the General Manager here at The Spires. I have worked in the care sector since I was 18, initially with young adults with learning disabilities, before specialising in elderly care. I am passionate about improving the lives of our residents and making sure they live life to the fullest. We are very lucky at The Spires to have a fantastic team of people who are dedicated to our residents. We value training and developing our staff to help our residents have a full and exciting life.

The Spires is a purpose-built care home, designed to support the needs of people with residential and dementia care needs in comfort and style. The home is situated in Lichfield, Staffordshire and is close to the town centre as well as local, picturesque villages.

Barchester Healthcare has developed a Memory Lane Community for people with dementia, best practice is shared between Barchester care homes as we endeavour to provide the highest level of dementia care. The Memory Lane Community features adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens, low-risk walkways and activity kitchens.

All the residents at The Spires have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.
