The Lawns Nursing Home

The Lawns provides residential and nursing care, on a long term, convalescent or short stay basis. Our dedicated, long-serving team are proud of the awards they have achieved, including the highest accreditation for care, the Gold Standard Framework, for outstanding nursing and palliative care.

Our home provides a tranquil and relaxing accommodation in beautiful grounds. Situated in the village of Kempsey, it is set in 3 acres of attractively lawned gardens and was originally a regency manor house.

Our purpose built new extension opened in August 2018 and provides 20 rooms, all en-suite, with the ground floor rooms having their own gardens. A stunning glass atrium sensory garden links the new extension to the manor house. The manor house provides single and shared accommodation, the majority of which is en-suite, all refurbished to a high standard.
Our ethos is to provide the highest quality person-centred care, in a warm and friendly environment.

Our food is locally sourced, cooked from fresh ingredients and tailored to individuals’ wishes and needs.

The Lawns enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its nursing and palliative care. The nursing staff have over 200 years of experience, and with our many long serving care staff, the home has been recognised with the coveted gold standard framework award with merit, of which we are all justifiably proud.
