Mountwood

Mountwood Care Home is situated in Andover, a small market town with an array of shops and attractions, providing dementia, residential and nursing care on a permanent and respite basis. There is a range of rooms with a choice of views, nearly all of which have ensuite facilities.

Friends and family are welcome at any time, hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share meals with residents. The resident cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce.

There is an outstanding activities programme designed by Mountwood’s Activities Coordinator around the resident’s interests, including: quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, arts and crafts, baking and wherever possible trips out and about.

Many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our reminisce sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.
