Aycliffe Care Home

Aycliffe Care Home is situated in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, the home offers Residential and Nursing care for up to 54 individuals with a range of needs including Respite, convalescence and day care services.

We receive a lot of very positive feedback about the warm and friendly greeting to visitors and new residents alike, along with the happy atmosphere within the home.

Our staff engage in a very honest and natural way with the residents, like they would with a member of their own family. They always make sure they look presentable, that the ladies have their make-up on and their clothing and accessories match, that the gents are shaved and their hair combed. When members of staff pass the residents they’re always very positive and affectionate, and at the same time treating them with respect and dignity.

Our home has a full-time Activities Co-ordinator who keeps the residents active and entertained. We run a film club where residents enjoy the classics, the local church does a weekly listening service and we also have a resident committee which produces a newsletter.

There’s plenty going on outside the Home as well, residents often get a taxi into town so they can go shopping or take a trip to a café, the library, or perhaps to fish and chips!
