Avocet Court

Avocet Court in Ipswich is a purpose-built care home providing nursing and residential care. Short and long stays are welcome to those who are living with Parkinson’s, dementia and also to the young physically disabled.

We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at Avocet Court including lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in.

At Avocet Court there are always plenty of places to relax, the purpose-built home has the needs of our residents in mind. Whether outside in the garden, or indoors in the dining room or conservatory, the home provides a safe environment for residents to live in.

Avocet Court has a great chef who ensures residents have lovely meals which they all enjoy. We have a A Night Bite menu for our residents, which includes fruit, snacks and drinks. Regular excursions are arranged for residents to participate in, as well as a variety of daily activities which are suitable for all levels of ability, like knitting, reading and painting.

At Avocet Court our absolute priority is to ensure that every resident receives the very highest standards of care. The only way we can do that is to ensure that our care is focused on the individual. Because every person’s needs are different and residents need a package that’s tailored especially for them and which can be altered as quickly as their needs may change.

If you've been granted funding from Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding, we will be able to support you at Avocet Court because we are a registered nursing home. Our cost per week greatly depends upon the complexity of a prospective residents care needs which will be determined by a Care Needs Assessment. We are able to support individuals with a wide range of care requirements including end of life care and respite care.
