Nine individuals live at 48 Cedar Road where they are provided with support to enable them to develop and maintain their independence and cognitive skills following an acquired brain injury. We are pleased to have been granted Headway Approved Provider status.

The support we provide is based around rehabilitation techniques which increase individuals’ independence. We monitor progress regularly using Goal Attainment Scaling. The well trained staff team at 48 Cedar Road are supported by a neuro-psychologist, who assesses each person's specific needs and implements and reviews therapy programmes.

We have a proven track record in helping people to move forward and achieve the lifestyle they want.

Everyone is encouraged and assisted to make the most of local facilities, using public transport where possible to build independence.

The spacious shared spaces within the service offer the choice of socialising, spending time alone or participating in therapy sessions. The high staff levels enable everyone to become actively involved in the daily running of the service, building living skills. There is a specially designed training kitchen.

The service has been carefully designed to meet the specialist needs of the people who live here, whilst still providing a warm environment. The nine bedrooms all have en-suite facilities and ceiling tracking is available where required.

poor quality of care A relitive of mine was at the home for a short period the quality of care we witnessed was quiet poor. deputy home manager very rude and the home manager even ruder! My relitive had a emergency while at the home the manager never even contacted me once and i was not contacted at all until 24hrs afer and that was by the hospital! Staff turnover is also very bad often run on very low staff levels
