Lancaster Grange Care Home

The name of our home came from a competition held for children from Claypole Primary school, wherefrom over 70 entries Lancaster Grange was chosen in honour of the brave airmen who flew Lancaster Bombers from Newark in World War Two.

Learning about our resident's life stories and our reminiscence work is a key part of our person-centred care approach. This valuable work helps us to connect with our residents on a personal level and enhance the overall care that we offer to them. All of our care plans are based upon the needs of our residents and we treat each person as an individual.

Our Memory Lane Community is dedicated to providing stimulation in addition to security and first-class care. Memory boxes are a key feature on all of our resident’s doors and we encourage families and residents to fill these with personal memorabilia which are used to great effect to help each person reminisce.

Our varied activities and events programme takes into consideration the interests of our residents and is designed to create a fulfilling and stimulating environment whilst enhancing feelings of self-worth. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationship of trust we build with our residents and their family and friends.
