Situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Horton and only two miles from Ilminster, Horton cross, a former motel, has undergone conversions to meet all modern standards for care accommodation.

The home is run 24 hours a day by a registered manager supported by a full team of nurses, carers and back up staff who aim to provide all the necessary care and attention for those who wish to spend their retirement in a secure and caring atmosphere.

The large residents rooms are spread over two floors with mostly single but some double occupancy available. These rooms are spacious, comfortable and complete with personal washing facilities, nurse call points, television and telephone points. The large open lounge/diner overlooks the beautiful well tended garden (which interested residents may help tend) and patio areas and offers a relaxing atmosphere in which to watch TV or listen to music.

Many residents continue under the care of their own doctor or they may register with the local GP. Other professionals such as opticians, dentists and chiropodists etc visit the home to provide complimentary services. We offer a range of activities for the residents, both in-house, which families and friends are more than welcome to participate in, and a selection of trips out. We also arrange for a selection of newspapers to be delivered to the home. We provide a varied menu which includes a cooked breakfast, and traditional home cooking using the freshest meat, vegetables and fruit delivered by the finest local suppliers (where possible) catering for all special dietry requirements.
