Claydon House in Lewes, East Sussex delivers residential care, nursing care and specialist dementia support for up to 45 elderly people.
The home is based around a beautiful double-fronted Victorian house, a former Admiral’s residence, which has been sensitively converted and retains the original building’s unique character while offering outstanding care facilities. We also now have a purpose-built extension providing the very highest standards of dementia care.
Claydon House has an enviable reputation for delivering excellent care. The home’s dementia care provision in the Admiralty building has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s standards, which are widely acknowledged as providing the best living environment for people living with dementia.
The home offers a full range of residential, nursing and specialist dementia support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms and make themselves feel at home.
