Wonderful home My mother was in this home in October . I found all the staff nice always made sure my mother was well looked after, was very approachable and polite. The management always reassured me about mom, and always had the time to talk to me. The seniors cares took their time out to always explain to me about if mom was put on new medication and explained what they was for. So I do disagree to the comments above because I am happy that my mother was in their care.

Cherry Lodge, Druids Heath Although this care home has potential to be really good in terms of facilities, there is an overlying lack lustre approach from the carers. The Management usually hovers in their room, seemingly doing nothing most of the time. Entertainment for residents is minimal and boringly the same every week. The same old music CDs are used in the main lounge and an occasional old, almost deaf keyboard player comes in on odd occasions. It would appear that cost-cutting is the main priority. When residents clothes are clearly labelled with names etc. they are thrown into some sort of communal pile after the first time they are laundered so clothes often are inappropriately shared. Because the number of staff is kept to a minimum, jobs like room clearing, can be neglected. It seems therefore that staff morale is not always good, resulting in a high turnover.

beautiful home. Shame about the management I went to this home as I was looking for somewhere to place a relative. The home looks beautiful and modern however there was a distinct odour of urine in a few seperate places within the home which was off putting to say the least. Some of the care assistants seemed ok but there was a couple that did not have the same impression on me.We were kept waiting for ages to speak to management (they were sat doing nothing in the office) and knew people were waiting to see them. When eventually we got to speak to them there was no apology for keeping us waiting, was totally uninterested in the needs of family member, rude, and lacks any empathy at all and just a waste of space.I have heard others say the same about them. As I say beautiful home just majorly let down by the management. I also read a review of this home on another site and was not good reading at all
