Chelmer Valley in Chelmsford provides residential and dementia care to 140 residents. Compassion, dignity and respect are the foundation stones of care provided at Chelmer Valley. The comfort and well-being of our residents is paramount, Chelmer Valley provides a homely, relaxed and safe atmosphere and is fully integrated with the local community in Chelmsford.
Providing long-term residential and specialist dementia care, all residents have their own care plan devised by the Senior Carer at Chelmer Valley. The residents also have access to the community based healthcare team in Chelmsford including GP’s, Physiotherapists and Chiropodists.
The resident chef at Chelmer Valley takes great pride in preparing freshly cooked meals which suit the tastes and nutritional needs of the home’s residents. Residents are encouraged to make menu suggestions and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
Chelmer Valley has a dedicated Activities Coordinator who designs a varied programme of both group and individual activities based around the resident’s interests. Residents are encouraged to live their lives as they please and are able to join, or not, as they wish.
Dependent on the mood of residents they can choose to spend time in our social lounges with televisions or take some time for themselves in our dedicated quiet lounges. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with the majority being ensuite. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own furnishings and belongings.
