Our nursing home in Parr is made up of four separate houses that cater for different care needs. Three of the houses provide nursing care, while the fourth one specialises in dementia nursing care.
All four houses are set within expansive grounds, so all of our residents can enjoy the landscaped scenery. There's a well-stocked herb garden, raised flowerbeds and an enclosed sensory garden – a great place to relax and chat with friends and relatives in the summer months.
Each house has its own lounge, where our residents can catch up with each other, watch television or make use of a dedicated quiet area to read and relax.
Split into four separate houses, our 120 rooms are decorated to a very high standard. Some have views across the sweeping gardens while others have their own patio doors that lead out onto the grounds.
Our residents are encouraged to bring with them any items of furniture or personal ornaments they're particularly fond of to make them feel more at home.
They say that you can't please everyone all the time, but our in-house activity co-ordinator works hard to do just that. By speaking to each of our residents, they then build up a plan of activities to ensure everyone has the option to take part in something they enjoy. A good activity program promotes social interaction, improves sleeping patterns and appetite.
We encourage our residents to continue with their own hobbies in the home, but we also have a wide range of other activities they may like to try. These can include anything from flower arranging and dominoes, to arts and crafts, cake making and music sessions.
Please give us a call to discuss how we can help support you or your loved one at our care home in St Helens, we look forward to welcoming you to Broadoak Manor soon.
