Excellent Care at the Belmont I feel I must put forward my own experience of the excellent care provided to my mum at the Belmont Care Home. Mum has been at the Belmont for almost 3 years this has been her third Christmas & I hope she will see many more. I moved to Wales just over a year ago & therefore I have had to travel a distance to visit mum the staff have no idea when I will be arriving but on every occasion mum has been spotlessly clean & very comfortable. She has a lovely room which is always clean & tidy. The staff are always ready to help & on no occasion have I seen them rude or dismissive towards any of the residents they certainly show kindness to mum despite the fact that because of her condition she can be difficult herself at times. I would like to thank the whole staff for their help & kindness, i've put my trust in them to care for my lovely mum & feel confident they will not let me down.

Duty of care the duty of care at the Belmont is unquestionably poor some of the staff do not have the care or compassion about them to look after a sick animal so why would you even want to leave your relative with them. I have herd time and time again that staff are not turning in for shifts on a day to day bases and the same at night This home has 40 residents when full so how good do you think the care is when the staff are down to 2 on a night shift what type of care do you think your relative would get Care homes get a bad slating from the press and public This care home and others like this is the reason. So what is the answer to the poor care given to the residents of this care home yes it's the lack of staff but the rout cause of this poor care is down to the management at the home how would you improve the care you can start by removing the management and replace it with someone that will do the correct thing regarding the residents and the staff It asks to rate this care home if you would recommend it to family and friends I can honestly say without thinking about it no I would not recommend this care home Because of legal reasons I can not put here people that have suffered the neglect at this organisation but I can say they have been reported to CQC and after finding problems with this home they are still open for Buisness how is this possible Don't take my word for it if you are considering placing your relative in care be sure to check this out for yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions and stay for a while observe for yourself the way the staff are with the residents but be under no illusion you can see all what you want in the time frame of 1 hour One thing I will admit is that since CQC went in on there last inspection things have started to change but that's in relation to the home not the residents In summery avoide this care home at all costs if you care about your relatives needs and wants because they will not get it here until things change and the management and staff think about the residents and not the money they get out of it

Care home needs attention After visiting a friend a few nights ago I was appalled at what I was seeing! The staff was rude the patients where left on there own in lounge area all shouting and when nurse came along to be told to wait there busy then they all went home. Then what I happened next hit the nail on the head the night staff come on although they were very nice girls they were run off there feet as there was only 2 members of staff on which I thought must be wrong as there is a lot of residents in the home. Think the management and staffing needs looking at in this care home.

appalling After visiting a friend at the Belmont I was appalled by the lack of care at this 'care' home. The staff were rude, very ignorant and not very caring atall. In my opinion the only thing they were more concerned about was their personal appearance. Although the place is clean there was a service user who needed help to the toilet and was ignored numerous times which resulted in him soiling himself (then it wasn't as clean). This is an outrage and how this care home is still standing I do not know. I'd Highley advise not to put a loved one in this shambolic place with such disrespectful and uncaring staff, absolutely disgusting!
