About

Beech Grove Care Home

Situated on the edge of the peaceful market town of Clitheroe, Beech Grove Care Home provides an idyllic living setting. The building of Beech grove is a converted former vicarage. The home is set in its own well maintained grounds and is just a small walk away from the town centre where you can find a plethora of shops and other services.

The home is set across 2 floors with an elevator between the 2 allowing more freedom for our first floor residents. On the ground floor of the home we have 2 large lounge areas and a dining area which extends into our conservatory.

Outside the conservatory there is a garden area for our residents to enjoy with a greenhouse for our more green-fingered residents to be able to grow and nurture their own plants. We have a wide range of activities and day trips, details of which can be obtained from the home.

Care at Beech Grove is our ultimate priority as is the case with all homes in the Roseberry group. We offer residential care primarily, but also accommodate people looking for or requiring residential care and care for those showing early signs of dementia. We don't currently offer nursing care, but should your needs change or you require nursing intervention, you can take comfort in knowing that we can arrange for a district nurse to visit the home at any time.

We are always open to meet new people, and should you be looking for a care home either for yourself, or for a loved one, we are happy to meet you and help. Our manager Carol Ratcliffe can meet you at Beech Grove to show you around, or just to talk over a cup of tea.

The staff couldn't have been better, mum felt at home straight away and enjoyed being there - she was very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, management, or anyone at the home - we never had any problems and would recommend the home to anyone.

Hi

Thanks for your review and we're pleased that your mum had an enjoyable stay at Beech Grove and that you were both satisfied with the care delivery.

We'll pass on your kind words to the hard-working staff team at Beech Grove who I'm sure will be delighted to hear their efforts haven't gone unnoticed.

All the best,

A well managed, comfortable and homely place. My mother spent her last six months at Beech Grove and I was always confident that she was safe, kindly treated and well cared for. She had been very unhappy in a nursing home in the south of England for a month and moved into Beech Grove with nasty bed sores which had developed at the nursing home. Within the hour the district nurse was alerted and within 12 hours she had a new mattress, cushions and regular treatments resulting in her sores healing quickly. The home is very clean and cosy. The staff are amazingly patient and caring in their approach and the individual needs of the residents are well met. The food is traditional and appetising. Family and friends can visit at any time and are welcomed into the community with invitations to eat and drink. Hairdressers, chiropodists, opticians and other local services visit regularly. The church next door visits and is visited. Trips out in the local era and beyond are arranged. The staff accompany residents to hospital appointments. Though not a nursing home the medical needs of residents are well met by the local NHS services which are excellent. In her final days the local doctors, nurses and the staff at Beech Grove ensured that my mother was comfortable and calm. They supported me well and could not have been more attentive or kind. I have learned that glossy brochures and fancy decor with a huge price tag mean little compared to compassionate and caring staff. A reasonably priced residential home can be equally as good as a nursing home if the local NHS services are good too. We were very lucky to have found this combination in Clitheroe.
