Alexandra House

Alexandra House Care Home in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear is a residential care home that supports up to 40 individuals with a range of needs including Dementia and respite care services.

At the home, we do all we can to create an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, and we all go that extra mile to make sure that it is not just residents that are supported but ensure that the families are very much involved within the Care Home and their loved ones care.

Our Manager has been at the home for 11 years, and in her own words "from day one I have enjoyed the warm feeling I get from all the work we do to make our residents and their families relaxed, happy and well cared for."

All residents have key workers allocated to them, and their families know they can go to this person at any time for support or information.

The home offers a bespoke Dementia Unit, which is a facility that is highly valued by residents’ families, who appreciate how much support and specialist care the home provides.

The home is situated close to a Victorian park and also has excellent garden facilities, which the residents are encouraged to enjoy as much as possible when the weather allows.

Alexandra House weekly fee starts at £619 per week but will depend upon the complexity of the individual's care requirements. We may be able to accept residents who are funded by their local authority but this will need to be discussed with our Home Manager. As well as long-term care, we can also support people who are looking for short-term care and who require dementia care.
