Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, in the heart of the Chilterns, Abbeycrest is one of Caring Homes’ newest care homes in Berkshire, offering exceptional residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Abbeycrest provides residents with a true Care Pathway by offering a full suite of residential, nursing and dedicated dementia care. As such, residents may rest safe in the knowledge that the home can cater for their care needs both now and in the future.

The home’s bedrooms and communal areas have been designed and furnished to the highest standard, utilising bespoke materials, with a blend of traditional fabrics, wall papers and furnishings to create a real ‘home from home’ ambience. Every bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and many have patio access to the landscaped gardens or Juliet balconies overlooking the nearby woodland. I went to visit this care home last week for my Mother-in-law. On first impression the home looks very impressive and is in a lovely setting. When i arrived i was given a quick 5 minute tour around the building, it felt as soon i arrived there i was soon to be out the door again. I was not impressed with the service - I had many a question to ask but didn't have the time to ask them, this is a difficult and stressful time for the family and i would've liked to have got a better understanding of the home and what they could've offered for my Mother-in-law.

It worried me a little that i was so quickly rushed around the place and we won't be proceeding with Abbeycrest.
