In addition the staff team have also been trained in NVCI (non violent crises intervention), Pica and MAKATON to meet individuals’ needs.
Durlands Road has a large open plan lounge and dining room. The activity/games room leading off from the dining room can also be used as a separate area to meet with family and friends. The large kitchen also offers a breakfast bar area and access to the back garden via a pathway along the side of the home. All the bedrooms at Durlands Road have en-suite shower facilities and the home also offers a separate bathroom for those who prefer to have a bath.
Durlands Road is set in a residential area in Horndean. The home is a short walking distance from a local parade of shops and the bus stop. The local football club is only down the road and the home is a short bus trip away from local colleges
