Industrial Injuries Disability Allowance

If you are unwell or disabled because of an accident that took place at work or whilst partaking in an employer approved training scheme, you may be eligible to receive Industrial Injuries Disability Allowance (IIDA).

The amount of IIDA you will receive is based on how your disability affects you, this will be assessed by a Medical Advisor on a scale of 1 to 100%. In order to be eligible for IIDA you need to receive a medical assessment of 14% or more. Payments are as follows:

100% = £168.00                             90% = £151.20                              80% = £134.40

70% = £117.60                                 60% = £100.80                             50% = £84.00

40% = £67.20                                    30% = £50.40                                 20% = £33.60

If you are claiming IIDA because of an accident you will need to fill in a BI100A form, if you are claiming because of a disease you will need to fill in a BI100PD form. You can download and print these forms here.
